 Dog Blog: January 17th, 2012
Well as I type this I see the temperature has dropped down to -14C ..... WTF is going on??? Should I also mention that we have a ton of snow and more on it's way. Well a ton of snow is like 1.5 feet to me. As we live on a corner the grader keeps coming buy and is building a lovely little ice wall at the top of the driveway. I think it's about 4 feet tall now!! Not cool.... my poor truck has turned into a battering ram and thank gawd for 4x4. I love this truck and man oh man it rocks in the snow. I thought I would share a pic of Jett in her first snow experience. You see green grass as we made a giant snowman in the front yard and used up most the snow. Jett stayed nice and warm in her toasty little jacket and was sporting her collar charm.
Well the Xmas holidays have come and gone and so has my 40th birthday. It was a completely different kind of holiday season as my Auntie Lorna went into the hospital on Xmas Eve and we were told she was not coming out. Auntie Lorna passed away the day before my birthday to that EFFING Cancer. This was a woman who didn't drink, exercised, didn't eat red meat or drank caffeine. She was such an amazing woman and her and my uncle were married 54 years. She is terribly missed.
Mom also was not around this Xmas nor the Andies. The Mama was checking out the Andies new digs in Florida and let's just say that I don't think she will be going back, LOL. Poor Mama came home with a zillion little bug bites and let me tell you she does not do well with those! We opted out of the trip and saved our pennies so we could take the kids to Disney Land next month. After that Darren is taking me to Vegas for my birthday pressie - now that's what I call a trip. Look out Vegas .... again!
Well my man is not feeling well so I am off to take care of him ... poor little muffin! This means I also don't have to cook dinner tonight .... ya hooo!!! LOL I think it's gonna be a Cheezie/Vodka Martini dinner for me.
 Dog Blog: November 15, 2011
Ya how cute are these lampworked collar charms. Yes it was only a matter of time before dear darling Jett influenced my work. Let your K-9 be the envy at the dog park. If you so desire one shoot me an email, they are $18.00 each plus shipping. Each one has a sturdy lobster claw, a sparkling crystal and one of my glass beads! The hearts have a raised paw print on each side and the bones have a reaised heart and paw on one side.
It's be awhile and lots has happened. This past weekend was Circle Craft in Vancouver - what a beautiful show. I demoed a few of my signature pieces while they videoed and shot it up on the big screen.
A few weeks back we were asked to be part of the Oprah's reality show Million Dollar Neighborhood. We were part of their night market filming and had so much fun. The night was gorgeous and a bit chilly, perfect for a market.
The weather has turned but the results are gorgeous. The Fall leaves are really glowing and the sunshine has been fairly abundant. I see fresh new snow on the mountains get lower and lower each time I drive into the city. The time change has really screwed me tho .... dark at lunch doesn't work well with my creative juices! Poor Darren leaves in the dark and gets home in the dark now.
The Mama has mostly moved into her new joint and we had dinner there the other night. I am planning a big 40th (good gawd did I just type that!!) open house there this year (December 31st) and will be inviting everybody I know. Planning the menu (and prolly cooking most of it) is going to be so much fun. Last year's birthday cake will be hard to beat but am brainstorming ideas already. There also needs to be a theme cocktail. Speaking of drinks we experimented with wheatgrass juice the other night. Wheatgrass + Vodka = a Lawnmower. Wheatgrass + V8 + Vodka = a GrassKicker and just plain V8 + Wheatgrass = just yummy but as there is no alcohol in it, it will not make the menu.
 Dog Blog: October 13, 2011
My apologies to the Maui Mama for my lack of Dog Blog. I hope the Mama updated you on how crazy life has been lately! Yes quite some time has passed and many adventures under my perverbial belt. The majority of it has been spent growing wheatgrass, lol. Yes not very rockstar but super fun. Whole Foods Market juice bars in Vancouver has picked us up as a supplier and I have been growing my ass off. Deliveries 2X per week have kept me rolling but I did find some torch time this week. The only one I have to share is my new Vamper focal (part of my Fang Banger series). This bead is awesome and it even has bite marks and blood on the back side of it. I will have it listed in my website shortly! The rest is an assortment of Holiday beads I made for a local gallery and they are getting them tomorrow.
Thanksgiving weekend we headed down to the trailer. The clubhouse cooks a bunch of turkeys and we supply the rest - too much fun. To make it even more fun they combined Thanksgiving with Halloween (way to screw with the kids - HELL why not a surprise visit from Santa while were at it) together. So we showed up for our turkey dinner in full Vampire make-up and attire - one of the only groups I will also add but what the hell!! Our make-up was awesome and I really did a rockin' job on making us look DED. We went from one party to another and finally ended up back at our trailer where I pulled the ultimate rockstar ... I shall say no more!
I did learn a little bit of "jail trivia" this past week .... ready ... here goes. Did you know that if you drink your shot of methadone .... barf it up ..... put it in a cup ..... it's worth $12.00. OH YA BABY!!! Thinking of becoming a junkie, getting arrested and getting me a whole new career. That is $12.00 per day TAX FREE!!! Well at least until the government can figure out how to tax that little cash grab. Now go share that info with others cause it will stick in your head until then - blech!!
Dog Blog: Sept. 20th, 2011 More bead sets up on Ebay!!
For those out there that prefer silver (like ME) I made an encased silver foil heart as well. This one is on Ebay and comes with those great Shimmer scrolled beads!
This weekend was packed full of yummy-ness!! On Friday we headed out to EAT Fraser Valley and completely underestimated how much time we would need there. The 2 hours we did have went by in a flash and we could have easily done another 2 hours :>( I did find a new amazing wine tho so check out this link: http://www.lotuslandvineyards.com/wine_red.php Lotusland is a great local organic winery and they really produce some beautiful wine. We managed to snag some Kangaroo and Ostrich meat, Cariboo jerky and some chocolate covered pomergranates - mmmmm. The next morning we headed down to the trailer to check out and sit behind the new cedar fence - GORGEOUS!!! I will admit the only downside to the fence in the front is I now have to stand up to waive to all our friends going by. We even managed to bring down a bunch of cabinets for our future outdoor kitchen that will be built this Spring. No more cooking in a small trailer kitchen - yeah!! The weather was much cooler this time down but we started a great roaring fire, poured some wine and enjoyed our family time away.
I have been a bead-bot on the torch this week so check out my latest and greatest at my AUCTION link to the left. I have many deadlines looming on many different projects so my head shall be down and the music cranked so I can get it all done.
With that I shall bid you adu - I have a quick delivery to make and then onto the torch again :>)
Dog Blog: Sept. 14th, 2011 More beads on Ebay as well as listed here on the site!
I know it's only September but I am releasing my signature Holiday Bead today. Yesterday I had a blast at the torch and made a bunch of very glitzy beads - most can be found on the Auction Link to the left. I made this heart with silver leaf as well as I love my white metals but this one is the most showy!
The last couple of days the weather has taken a turn towards Fall which is a bit of a nice change from that bloody hot weather we had last week. I shall not complain about hot or cold weather as I really have no say in it. Tomorrow I am at the Granville Island Farmers Market and expect a gray day but who cares .... I love Granville Island!
Last night I took Jett to the dog park for the 2nd time. People just stop and stare at this little bullet running circles around their dogs. She is so good and very entertaining. Last time we took her there she barfed a few times as she has never really opened up those long legs of hers. This time she took it all in stride - lightening fast stride, LOL She is very social with all the dogs and people there but at the moment she is dead to the world as she is curled up in our pillows.
Next week Darren starts teaching at yet again another prison :>( I call this his "zombie" time as he works all morning and then to the gym and then to the School District for the evening. Poor guy is just burnt by the end of the class. I guess the only upside (other then the $$) is my production goes way up as he is never here!
Well I am off to pack up some beads and water some wheatgrass and pea shoots .... then back on the torch for some more fun, fun fun!
Dog Blog: Sept. 7th, 2011 Lots more listing on Ebay today! .... check out the "auctions" link to the left.

Pain in the Grass! I know what it should read but this was the music festival that we went to last weekend and man oh man what a party! The people that show up at a true ROCK festival come from every walk of life .... some even crawled out from under their rocks and some beamed down from their home planets! It was an amazing show and we had great seats at the White River Amphitheater in Auburn, WA. The weather was killer and the price of drinks even worse, LOL Beer was $9.50 a glass!!! While standing in the line up a very drunk girl and her Dad were staggering around in front of us. She was a brillant lobster red from lack of sunscreen!!! We brought sunblock so I offered her some to maybe tone down the damage she had already done. They were more than thankful and bought us each a beer. So basically our $4.00 sunscreen wrangled us $20.00 worth of brew, LOL Of course it would not be a party without me tripping and landing on my knee in the parking lot....hey what's a little blood after a metal fest like that! The bands we saw were: Hinder, Chevelle, Five Finger Death Punch, Queensrycle and finally Korn - there were more but these are the bands we showed up for and they did not disappoint!
This past long weekend we headed down to the trailer to work on the fence .... again hurting myself mid-day .... still limping today! The weather was insanely gorgeous all weekend. The local fire department came down and put on a BBQ - there was a craft fair and kid/adult events all day.
I made some bead sets last week and listed them on Ebay today. This etched hollow set is my favourite! They are all large sets too.
Kids are back to school - waHoo! I totally get why parents get all excited about this time of year - screw Xmas! The teachers have given their strike notice but nothing will bring down my high. This year the school district is going to full days on Friday so no more dropping everything after breakfast to go grab the kids. I think they should get as much learning as they can because by the time they go to University it will just be a distant dream trying to afford it.
Well the weather is amazing and I have some bead packing to do. Have a great day!
Dog Blog: August 23rd, 2011 Lots listing on Ebay today .... check out the "auctions" link to the left!!
Oh yes I see my Fall colour palette emerging once again. Today I have to share Monster's Parade. Everything from Franken-Hearts to glowing green hearts. Check out my Ebay for a bunch of new listings!!
This past weekend we headed down to the trailer and let me tell you our "rockstar" status has been revived!! Mom and Auntie Em joined us on the Friday night and we finally got told to "shut up" at 4:30am....I think it was done a bit nicer. We did head into the trailer but kept the party alive, LOL. On Saturday the fence was ripped down and the contractor met. Looks like the new fence will be installed sometime next month :>) We didn't get home until late on Sunday and let me tell you all of us hit the sack early that night. There were a few great quotes from the weekend but my favourite has to be "right in the dink". Now I can hint to you that neither myself, Mama nor Auntie Em said it. I also might elude to the fact that there was a large piece of fence post involved ... but that is all I shall say.
Jett is growing like crazy and even lost another tooth this weekend. I have it and Darren wanted to know what I was going to do with it, automatically I said I would make jewellery out of it, ..... LOL Is there a dog tooth fairey?? Right now she is passed out on our bed once again without a care in the world. She is such a doll!
 Dog Blog: August 17th, 2011
Oh boy the updates are coming fast and furious now! Really this is just a quick little update to let you know I have listed some new bead sets on my site (under Products). I have also created a special section for just Memorial Cremain Beads also under Products. This is by no means just what I can create....the possibilities are endless, so if you have any ideas you would like drop me a line.
So today I have 3 sets to share and a bunch of keychains (under DooDads). This gorgeous olive and amethyst one and two more metallic gold and ivory sets. All stunning and so ready for Fall inspired jewellery. Fall is the furthest thing from my mind as the sun is shining through the windows. The temperatures are hovering around 22-24 degrees which to me is absolutely perfect Summer temps. There is a slight breeze blowing ....... why am I in here.....?????
A big thank you to all of the wonderful comments I received on my ad layout. The responses were so helpful and I really appreciate you taking the time to send them. There were a few comments regarding more of a masculine feel to the beads. I am going to try a beadable pen later to see how that turns out. I have a key chain already for the boyz but have a great idea flying around in my head .... yes it has glass wings!
Today I am moving a bit slower then normal. Jett had me up at 4am with a bout of barfing and runny poo (yuck). She was so good about doing every bit of it outside! She would do her business and then get half way across the deck .... give you that "OMG not again" look and then run back down onto the grass. Poor little thing. She is doing much better now and is passed out on our bed.
Tomorrow we will be at the Port Coquitlam Farmers Market so pop by if you are around and looking for some fresh goodies!!
 Dog Blog: August 15th, 2011
Well here we are again on a lovely Monday! The sun is shining the lawn is mowed and the puppy is sleeping - life is great!
I wanted to share my first draft (and probably final) of our latest magazine advertisement. Now you can see what the memorial beads looks like as finished jewellery. I am more then happy to just create the beads for those designers who want to make their own finished piece as well.
This past weekend we were at the Cat Fanciers of BC show in Cloverdale and man on man did I see some really neat cats!! My favourtie cat of the weekend was the Devon Rex. As I gazed into this cat's gigantic eyes I heard him say "ET go home"....okay maybe I was overtired but I swear they were related. When I talked to the owner she informed me that Stephen Speilberg had Devons and that ET, Gremlins and Yoda were inspired but his kittens. It all makes sense now!! Check out these very unique looking animals and tell me you don't see a resemblence!
Well here we are at 9:30am on a beautiful Friday morning. I tell ya Darren working day shift does have it's advantages. I have already watered the Pet Grass for the show, saw Darren off with a big smooch and hug, cleaned, assembled, photographed and listed my new Memorial pendants and keychain on my site! Normally I prefer working the afternoon shift but on a sunny day like today this aint that bad! Oh and I aint even half way through my latte!! :>)
My favourite of all the memorial beads so far is this one simply because it's more my style and if you look it up you will see it's called Bad Ass, lol. I know when I get cremated one day I would much prefer my ashes looking a bit more "bad ass" then "pretty" .... but hey that's just my thing. The 2nd angel pendant is very pretty with elegant vines scrolls over the base in a lovely lavender colour. Of course these beads can be made in any colour but I can only wear so many Smokey beads, LOL.
Just a quick little shout out to the rioters in the UK ... "you all suck balls"!! What an absolutely insane event to watch. Pure criminality ... okay I did steal that word from the news but it really sums up what's going on. I watch Coronation Street so it will be interesting to see if they work this into their show. They did work a Metallica concert into one last year when Metallica was touring there. This to me is a bit bigger in scale.
Well I have oodles of pea shoot flats to plant today so I will get out there while the sun is still in the sky..... oh but first I must sample the Pesto Mayo I made yesterday from scratch now that it is all thick and cold .... mmmmmmmmmmmm .... homemade mayo!!!
Just a quick update for today. We will be at a really great cat show this weekend selling our Pet Grass as well as showing my Memorial jewellery. Some say creepy but most love the idea of wearing a loved one (both animal and human) close to their heart. The cremains are encased in molten glass and then turned into wearable jewellery. I have made many of them over the years but could never make just "samples" as that would mean opening one of the boxes of my fur babies. Well yesterday I broke open Smokey and went to work. She has never looked more beautiful and I can't wait to make a very special Fairlane pendant for myself and The Mama! I have earrings, pendants and Pandora styled beads for sale on my site. If you have any questions (none too weird) feel free to shoot me a line.
 Dog Blog: August 10th, 2011
After driving almost 3000 kms round trip we are back at home. It was a 2 day drive there and 2 days back but I have to say that the drive was gorgeous! For those that don't know Darren is from the BC, Alaska border and we took a road trip to visit his Mama. We packed in a fair amount which included: checking out a Mama and cub Grizzley hanging out in the river watching the fish swim by, rock hounding at abandoned mines, eating fresh caught seafood out of a bus on the side of the dirt road, driving to what seemed like the top of the world to partake in the most breath taking view I have ever seen, hanging out at a couple of camp fires and finally getting Hyderized at 10am on a Sunday morning!
By the end of the trip me yelling "BEAR" every time I saw one had subsided to merely a pointing finger. The last bear we saw was a very young black bear cub on the side of the road while we were leaving. I had actually thought it was one of those plywood cut outs that people paint black and put in their yard.
Hyder is a very interesting place! Dirt roads and little businesses pop up here and there between the abandoned and boarded. Trust me to drive all the way there and find a lampworker as well. She had a super cute shop. Tourist season is very VERY short but somehow people stay.
Now when you travel that far out of the known universe you find that you don't have cell service!! PANIC!! I did manage to park myself at a hotel and grab their wifi for a bit to catch up on emails. On the way home as soon as we were in range again my Blackberry went ballistic - chirp, chime, beep .... everything that had been sent to me in the past week was pouring into my little baby. I think I am caught up again.
So the picture you see of Henrietta is at the Salmon Glacier. Overtop of us was a constant whirl of helicopter blades as they picked up loads of supplies/materials and flew straight out into the middle of nowhere. The mines are booming as gold prices are soaring and exploration is everywhere.
Dog Blog: July 26th, 2011 New Beads on my Site to BUY!
Holy HELL over a month without an update - I'm surprised you are even still visiting!! There are many reasons and all revolve around "good things". But first let me share with you a gorgeous set of teal hollows with oil slick stringers. I will have these and more for sale on my site shortly. Just taking a minor Etsy break ... just for the Summer!
OK now on to news.... so much but here are the highlights: Darren sold his house and has fully moved in! Tonight we are going out for a fancy celebration dinner XOX. Next the Mama is back from Italy (without a tan) and slowly but surely moving into the new joint. It took 4 FULL days to take wall paper off that friggin wall but it looks normal again. The Andies bought a house in Ft. Meyer Florida as a vacation rental. My first question was "are there manatees in the channel" to which the answer was "yes and they just had a baby" ... giddy with excitment I asked the dreadful next question .... "are there snakes??!!!" to which the answer was "yes but they are friendly snakes"!! Seriously!!?? What the hell kind of answer is that. I hope they send me lots of pictures and enjoy their new joint in the mangroves but sharing a deck with a "friendly" snake is not in my immediate future. As a matter a fact a drive to Stewart, BC is in the near future. Two days of driving there and two days back. I ask myself "will the children survive?" We are certain to see many bears and other such wildlife but all I can think about is a bloody snake on a deck! Jett is growing quickly and learning even faster. An absolute doll this dog is. Right now she is curled up on the bed just out of whapping distance from Muzzy. Jasper and Jett play a lot but Muzzy just shakes her little head.
The Farmers Markets were great fun and the people we met even better. Our line of goodies expanded from organic wheatgrass to pet grass, pea and sunflower shoots. We did so well that we have had to take a break from the markets to keep up with orders now :>) We are also bidding on a very large contract for our pet grass so fingers crossed!! www.giddyupandgrow.comis the site and you can see what else we are doing.
So now I am off to list a couple sets of beads so check em out!
Dog Blog: June 21th, 2011 FIRST DAY OF SUMMER !!!!
Yay it's the first day of Summer and it actually feels like the beginning of Spring! We would be very happy if this sunshine would stick around for a little bit but won't put any money on it!
Yesterday I spent the day working at Mom's new towhouse while she is lounging in Italy. All I have to say is "Wallpaper - what a pain in the ASS". Hey mama I hope you want a textured feature wall, LOL Jett was a very good girl and I found her curled up on the stairs.
Canada Post is on strike so nothing is moving in or out of the studio. Between the rotating strikes and the lockout I am surprised if anybody's beads will get to them!! I do apologize so very much and will be contracting you individually after I type this update.
Now I told the Mama that I would type a special section for her because for some reason she can't get her ass out of a wine tasting or museum tour or even figure out what time of day to call .... ya Mom you did call when we were all asleep that one night. So the following text is for her but feel free to read along, LOL
Hello Mama!! I did get your email. I hope you are having an absolutely FAB time and I am glad that nobody got sick, I think you said no barfing or pooing - great news!! lol The weather here sucks the big one so I hope you are enjoying the amazing weather there. Can't wait to see Venice with you... should I just pack now and join you!! The shoot business is doing great, we sold out again last market and now have a weekly standing order with Big Feast restaurant for our pea shoots. I got the popcorn from your place and am starting on popcorn shoots today along with more wheatgrass, sunnys and peas. I also picked up two MORE markets (Langley on Wednesday and on in Kits on Thursdays). I have taken down most of the effing wallpaper and lots of the drywall is coming with it. Darren will advise or further course of action. Either a skim coat of mud or a textured wall. Sandy has painted your bedroom (don't like the colour) and The Andies will go back on the 30th to paint some more before you get home. Jett is as adorable as ever and can't wait for her Grandmommy to come home and visit. Of course a bunch of losers rioted for the last Canucks game (morons) and we look stupid (again). Canada Post has been locked out so no beads out and no mail in!! Auntie Em sends her love and we both feel so weird not talking to you for such a long time. I am told that you guys are 10 hours ahead of us so figure it out and phone back!! We miss you very much xoxoxoxoxoxox!!!
Well I still can't believe it's true but she is sleeping beside me as I type! Introducing Jett the little Whippet. I believe I mentioned that I found the blood line of my original Whippet Fairlane (for whom this blog is named after) and after much waiting I drove up country and picked up the latest addition to our family! This pic is of Jett's first trip to the trailer and normally she is a bit more prim and proper .... but hey it's the trailer. All and all she is a good puppy but still a PITA, lol. It has been 20 years since I bought my first Whippet and I hope this time around I got it all figured out. She is almost sleeping through the night with only one potty break around 4am. At 6am I drag her into bed with us (she sleeps in a crate) as I know she would much rather snuggle with us then go outside and pee, lol.
Beads are making their way out of the studio again. Between Jett and our wheatgrass/microgreen business our lives have been completely packed full!!! Normally we crank out the week no problem by drinking our morning shot of wheatgrass but due to an increased sales boom I had to sell our "personal grass" so we have gone all week without a shot. Holy crap-ola can we feel it! I am yawning already and it's only 8pm .... can't wait to get a shot of that green goodness flowing through me again. The last Farmers Market we sold out by 10:30am - made for a bit of a long day!!! We have a goat farm across from us with yummy cheese, amazing artisan breads on one side and fresh veggies on the other - I am really trying to become a "locavore" and shop as local as possible. Mind you my Gin does have to travel a bit ;>)
Check my Etsy tomorrow for a very flashy set that is cooling in the kiln right now!
Help, help, I'm being attacked by aliens. OK that was my failed attempt of introducing my shot of germinated wheatgrass. This is what it looks like just moments before I plant them .... 9 days later .... harvest .... juice .... feel fab! Actually these little fellas are being harvested tomorrow for the Haney Farmer's Market as well as super yummy pea shoots! Check out our website www.giddyupandgrow.com
OK back to bead business! I believe I am almost caught up on custom orders and shipping. I would have been 100% caught up if the power had not gone out while torching yesterday. We lost total power until like 10:30pm!!! I had to go out to my truck to charge my cell phone and wondered what would Laura Ingalls do? How does one survive without power??? It makes me think that saving up for a gas powered generator might be in the future should the power go out for days at a time. You know for when the BIG one hits! Doom and gloom I know but we were up really late last night being silly after a full day of shopping across the line. Honest it was a business trip as I had to pick up a carton of wheatgrass juicers for the market! LOL Either way we were up very early as we had to come home so Darren could go to work and I had to pick up the kidlets at noon.
Last weekend we were down at the trailer again for Darren's birthday. It was a Canucks themed party and the whole family came down for the day. On the Sunday we headed over to the neighbor's deck as he had a great fire and a TV playing the hockey game. Every time we scored you could hear yells of joy all over Whatcom Meadows and the occasional air horn, lol. The weather for the May long weekend was chilly but our spirits were high!! Canucks only have to take out one more team until they hold the Stanley Cup in their hands - woo hoo!
One more bit of good news is the Mama bought a new townhouse and it's HUGE!!! We had a glass of wine with the whole family again at her new digs while we picked out paint colours. While she is in Italy we will paint her new place and maybe have a party of our own, lol. Her new place comes with a clubhouse with pool and hot tub - oh ya baby!

Well here we are on what should be a "getting ready to relax Friday" when we are all running around like a (see lower picture) with it's head cut off. That would totally freak Henrietta out if I actually typed that you know. We have so much going on but here are just the highlights.... tomorrow Farmer's market for which I must load the truck up the night before ... then back to Darren's to meet the "stager" to get the house ready for the open house on Sunday....however today is full of painting, pressure washing, shopping for flowers, weeding, yada yada yada! Somewhere I need to meet with the juice bar that is now juicing our wheatgrass for customers. Then sometime this weekend we are heading into Vancouver for EPIC; the Sustainable Living Show and then over to little sis's place. Add to the list I need to whip across the border to pick up our new market tent (for tomorrow morning), pick up the kidlets and eat ... which I seem to always forget to do!
With all that said and me now freaking out about how much is really going on I am happy to announce that I have 3 new sets of beads and a bunch of Key FOBS for sale in my Etsy store!! This set pictured is by far my fav! The richness of those beads is really stunning.
Well I think I will make a protein shake and go from there. Honestly I am so thankful that our morning shot of wheatgrass gives me the crazy energy needed to live my life lately! LOL
PS check out my new funky rings while you're there!
First my deepest apologies to the Maui Mama for my lack of Dog Blog! Now enough groveling let's get on with the update.
Easter weekend has come and gone and yet pounds of chocolate eggs still remain in the house. Henrietta only produces "good" once a year and this year she did not disappoint. Here she is sporting her new pink hoodie with matching backpack that normally carries a small bottle of tequila. The whole family joined us down at the trailer for fantastic food, camp fires and a little "strip down and go naked" (no the drink) and made it a weekend to remember.
The lack of Etsy NEW items has been due to custom orders and getting ready for the Haney Farmers Market this Saturday. It's the seasons opening market and we will be there with our organic wheatgrass and juicers. We're really are hooked on this green juice and want to share it with others. The energy that both myself and Darren now have is amazing let alone all the other good stuff it does for your insides! Stop by and say hi at Giddy Up and Grow Indoor Wheatgrass. We will have flats and bags of grass, pet grass and manual juicers.
This past week has been full of laundry due to a 2nd bout of ........ eeeeeeeewwwwwwww ....... LICE. It only takes one kid in a class to infect everybody .... AGAIN! Honestly do you know how NOT rockstar lice is!! My reputation is in question and I think something drastic needs to be done to restore it. Now what will it be???
Well both myself and Henrietta (all decked out in her Canucks jersey) are watching the 3rd game against Nashville so I will bid you adu with promises that the next blog will not be so far behind!!
Go Canucks Go!!!

OMG yet again another long delay between Dog Blogs !! I don't think I even remember most of the last week. I was showing at the Vancouve Tattoo & Culture Show on Friday from noon until 11:30pm!!!! then on Saturday until 8:00pm and then off to my Richard Salley class for a full day and then back to the show to tear down on the Sunday. A big blur but it was a blast. Our booth was across from Donatello the Teenage Mutant Turtle character and let me tell you he is just like his bloody character on the show!! CRAZY and full of energy! Henrietta got to meet lots of other "characters" and had her picture taken with a few pin up girls but also a dude with the biggest mohawk I have ever seen (and I've been to London). You know it's an awesome show when the police are there every day and the Vancouver City Police Gang Unit is there for move-out, LOL. The bands rocked, the roller derby was fast and furious, the pinup competition was super fun and the amazing tattoo artists blew me away. Now to put all this show crap away again!
I thought I would share the piece I made in my class on Sunday. We learned all sorts of super neat techniques and I can't wait to play .... someday .... after I get caught up with work again. Well I shall leave you for now - enjoy the sunshine or snow ... whichever you are getting at the moment!
